The Architecture
Three modern holiday apartments (~52 m²) in a passive house certified since 2013, set amid the vineyards of Caldaro.
Designed by architect Michael Tribus, a passive-house specialist, Villa Pernstich combines straight lines, natural light and an annual heating demand below 15 kWh/m². Each apartment has a double bedroom, kitchen/living room with sofa bed, bathroom with shower and a private terrace of ~15 m² overlooking the vineyards.
The Environment
In the hamlet of Villa di Mezzo/Mitterdorf, in a very quiet, sunny spot at 510 m above sea level, surrounded by vineyards. A 10–15 minute walk from the centre of Caldaro with its wine bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours. The roof terrace offers views of Lake Caldaro and the Mendel and Penegal mountains.
